Sweetcorn dumplings

  • 1 pack GYOZA pastry
  • 2 cups sweetcorn
  • 500g Pork Lean Mince


  Sauce and seasoning

  • 100ml Soy sauce
  • 2 tb-sp Sesame oil
  • 3 tb-sp Chinese wine (Huadiao花雕酒)
  • 1 t-sp Sugar
  • 1 egg (optional)
  • 1 Pork cube

1. Defrost the pastry by transfer them from deep freezer to the fridge (min. 10 hrs ahead, overnight is suggested)

2. Marinade the pork with the sauce and seasoning in a large container

3. Add 2 cups of sweetcorn to the mixture

4. Prepare a large tray/ plate and a small bowl with 3 tb-sp water

5. Place 1 tb-sp of the pork mixture in the middle of the pastry

6. Wet your index finger add draw a line along to the upper-circumference of the pastry

7. Fold it accordingly to a semi-circle

9. Heat 1.5L water in a pot and add the pork cube, wait until it boiled

10. Simply add the dumplings to the pot and wait for 5 mins

11. Ready to serve when the dumplings are floating

  • You may replace the Chinese wine with 2 t-sp of black pepper, however you should add 50ml of water to the mixture to maintain the moisture
