Sizzling Chicken Pot

  • Half corn-fed chicken (or 6 pieces Chicken thighs)
  • 3 tb-sp Chopped coriander
  • 3 Bell peppers, sliced


  Sauce and seasoning

  • 1 tb-sp Salted black soybean (豆豉)
  • 1 tb-sp Minced garlic
  • 1 tb-sp Minced shallots
  • 2 t-sp Chopped chili (adjustable depends on your prefeerence)
  • 2 t-sp Sugar
  • 2 Spring onion
  • 2 Ginger slices
  • 2 tb-sp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tb-sp Xiaoxiang Wine
  • 2 tb-sp Hoisin sauce
  • 1 Cube fremented bean curd (南乳)
  • 1.5 tb-sp Peanut butter

1. Chopped the chcken in bitesize

2. Marinate the chopped pieces with ginger, springonion, oyster sauce, xiaoxiang wine and surgar, put aside for at least 20 minutes


3. Prepare the black soyabean, garlic, shallots and chili

4. Heat up a wok with 1 tablespoon of oil

5. Stir-in the saesoning from step (4) for one minute

6. Add the proteins and keep stiring unil 70-80% cooked

7. Pour in the mixture of hoisin sauce, fremented bean curd and peant butter, mix well

8. Remove from heat and trasfer to a clay pot

9. Sprinkle some coriander on top and place a cover for 2 minutes

10. Amazing chicken pot is ready to serve
