Course: Main dish
Cuisine: British
Ingredients
- 2 Salted tuna can
- 1 Garlic cloves
- 2 stems Basil
- 1kg Fresh penne
Sauce and seasoning
- 150g Fresh pesto sauce
Steps by step
1. Peel and crush the garlic
2. Roughly chop the basil and put them aside
3. Boil a pot of water and cook the fresh penne for 3-4 mins, rinse them with cold water and drain the pasta as soon as it is done
4. Heat up a pan with 4 tablespoon of olive oil
5. Stir-in the garlic for 10 seconds, then add the pesto sauce and tuna (including the spring water)
6. Remove from heat, sprinkle some basil to complete the decoration
Step's secret tips:
Al dente pasta will feel firm, not crunchy, when you bite down with your front teeth. You can also break a piece of pasta in half and look at the cross section—al dente pasta is mostly cooked with a small core of uncooked pasta running through the middle.
